Laurel Parkinson is a Registered Music Therapist with a Bachelor Degree in Music,  Master of Music Therapy Degree from University of Melbourne and certification in Neurologic Music Therapy. 


Laurel has been employed by Sunshine Hospital, Epworth Hospital, Monash Health, McKenzie Aged Care and was a Research Assistant for an RCT study condu

Laurel Parkinson is a Registered Music Therapist with a Bachelor Degree in Music,  Master of Music Therapy Degree from University of Melbourne and certification in Neurologic Music Therapy. 


Laurel has been employed by Sunshine Hospital, Epworth Hospital, Monash Health, McKenzie Aged Care and was a Research Assistant for an RCT study conducted by Melbourne University. She has experience working with children and adults with neurological impairments, developmental disorders, behavioural and mental health issues. 


Laurel has a demonstrated track record of delivering effective MT services to clients of various cultural backgrounds in their home, online, in hospital, community, and aged care settings.

Patty is a Registered Music Therapist. She

acquired her Masters of Music Therapy from the University of Melbourne 2023. 


Patty has experience working as a Music Therapist for “Sing & Grow Australia”. She conducts Music Therapy sessions that focus on social and communication skills, literacy and numeracy, movement/motor skills and emotional 

Patty is a Registered Music Therapist. She

Patty has experience working as a Music Therapist for “Sing & Grow Australia”. She conducts Music Therapy sessions that focus on social and communication skills, literacy and numeracy, movement/motor skills and emotional well-being of children in kindergartens.


In 2023 Patty was a student Music Therapist at the Royal Children’s Hospital and Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre. At MTS she will continue study in the area of Trauma-Informed Care and Neurologic Music Therapy.


In her spare time Patty loves reading the Bible, two cups of coffee, landscape painting, reading, singing and playing the piano.

Damian Peck is an Allied Health Assistant. He completed his Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance in 2022. During this time he did his placement with Music Therapy Service (MTS) which led to his current position as a Therapy Assistant.

Damian Peck is an Allied Health Assistant. He completed his Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance in 2022. During this time he did his placement with Music Therapy Service (MTS) which led to his current position as a Therapy Assistant.


Damian holds a Bachelor of Arts, Performance Studies (2003, Victoria University Melbourne). He has decades of experience composing, recording, performing Children’s music; facilitating playgroups and music programs for church services. In 2019 Damian released his debut children’s album ‘Find Your Feet’ and in 2024 he was nominated an ARIA Award for Best Children's Album. Damian has his own YouTube channel “Damo Music for Kids”.


Damian has worked for MTS for over 2 years under the supervision and guidance of Ms Parkinson who is an Allied Health Professional (Registered Music Therapist). Ms Parkinson is responsible for writing individualised Music Therapy Treatment Plans (assessment, goals and evaluation process) which Damian implements during face-to-face therapy sessions at client's house.  Ms Parkinson is responsible for Damian’s on-going training and insurance coverage

under her allied health business’s professional indemnity and public liability insurance.


Damian is a hands-on dad with two boys who keep him on his toes. A large part of his song writing inspiration comes from his children! When he's not working, he is playing at the park, making lunch boxes and doing the kinder run.
